Subject: Are you a Genetic Counselor with Experience in Telegenetics or
Telemedicine ?
Hello, I am posting this notice on behalf of Jessica Cary, one of the
second year students in Brandeis' GC program, who is conducting a
study on current telegenetic practice among genetic counselors. Her
recruitment notice is enclosed. Thanks in advance, Judith Tsipis
I am a graduate student in the Genetic Counseling Program at Brandeis
University. For my thesis, I am conducting a study on current
telegenetic practice among genetic counselors. The goal of this
project is to explore genetic counselors' perceptions of and
experiences with telegenetics. The aims of my project are to:
1. To develop a set of recommendations for practice of
telegenetics
2. Identify common pitfalls and obstacles to avoid when
starting a telegenetic or telehealth clinic.
Participation is open to all genetic counselors with experience in
telegenetics or telemedicine and involves completing a 30-minute
audiotaped interview. Each participant will receive a $20 gift
certificate to Amazon.com after completing the interview.
If you are interested in participating in this study, please email me
at [log in to unmask] by (February 1, 2008).
If you have questions about participation, please contact me by phone
number (802-233-8453) or email ([log in to unmask]). I hope to have
all interviews completed by (March 7, 2008).
I appreciate your participation and look forward to hear from you.
Sincerely,
Jessica Cary, BS, RN
Genetic Counseling Graduate Student
